TREE'S PLACE
Marine art is a genre that can be broadly defined to include everything from historical ship portraits and sailor’s valentines to allegorical battle scenes and epic seascapes. For this exhibition, we selected the Atlantic ocean as our main criteria and invited a few of the best contemporary artists from both sides of that “pond” to submit works that best define their relationship to the water. Male and female, American and British, we found a fascinating range of interpretations to enjoy.
