There are moments of
in nature that most of us experience only briefly – when the temperature, wind,
and light effects are such that we are transported to an interior space of
reflection, peace, and ease. For more than two decades, Patrick Kitson has been
able to harness this calming aesthetic, creating paintings that convey his own
reverence for the majesty of landscape. With a balance of detail and
atmosphere, he evokes the feelings of witnessing a beautiful sunrise on an
unpopulated stretch of beach, or the experience the perfect stillness of dusk
in a sheltered dune.
